The Sultanate of Oman joins its counterparts from the countries of the world in celebrating the World Intellectual Property Day, which falls on April 26 of each year, with the aim of raising awareness and highlighting the importance of intellectual property rights and its various fields such as trademarks, geographical indications, patents, industrial designs, copyright and related rights.

This year’s celebration comes under the slogan {Women and Intellectual Property: Accelerating Innovation and Creativity} In this context, the Omani Society for Intellectual Property, in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, organizes this competition.
